Kim and I arrived in Vancover 8-14-10 at 10:10 and so did our bags. That was the last thing of concern on my mind, so now we can vacation until we drop.
The Holland America rep met us at the airport, got our cab and shuffled us off to our hotel, Fairmont Waterfront, overlooking the docked cruise ships and the North Shore Mts.
Since Holland America is providing a city tour, Sun, before we embark on the ship we went to Grouse Mt and the Capilano Suspension Bridge and did the tourist thing. Pretty cool stuff. Grouse Mt is where NBC did the Olympic's annoucements from. We rode the tram 3100 ft to the top. Great view, but a hazy day.
Thanks to Starbucks, across from the hotel, for providing Wi-Fi. The hotel is beautiful, but the old ethernet thing doesn't fit in my little mini.
We sat in our hotel room and watched our ship come in this morning....so to speak.
